Outsourcing IT with Enable – Video Transcript:
[Kim Sinclair, Enable] “When we started Enable back in 2001, we wanted to create a company that people loved to do business with.”
[Ian Belton, Caterlink] “Outsourcing IT has been really good for us, in the sense that we get access to the full range of professional abilities within IT, whether its network, whether it’s services, hardware, communications, it’s all in one place. It would be very difficult to get that from one person in house.”
[Kim Sinclair, Enable] “In the early days, we were like any other IT services company in Australia, in that we would wait for you to call us when something had broken and we would react to that particular issue. This mean that when we were doing well, our clients were experiencing IT problems. We wanted it so when we were being successful, our clients were also enjoying success. So that’s why we decided to become one of the early pioneers of managed services in this country.”
[Ian Belton, Caterlink] “The managed IT services has meant that Enable are able to detect issues that we have with our IT before we even know in many instances. The key matter is, I guess your uptime and we’ve had far fewer issues since we’ve gone to managed IT services than we did before.”
[Roger Truslove, Holyoake] “Enable helps us very effectively with our network of sites. We have our main office in Victoria Park, but we have offices in Midland, Northam, Narrogin and Merridin. At our regional sites, our major problems there are connectivity and portability of our IT and most of the times when there are problems, those problems are solved over the phone by Enable, but from time to time they’ll jump in a car and drive up to Northam.”
[Annette Campbell, WHL Legal] “My favourite thing about working with Enable is the fact that I know their response time is very good. If I have a problem, I can pick up the phone, they will address it immediately. If it’s urgent they will deal with it there and then. If it’s not urgent they will deal with it within a couple of hours, but we’ve got a stable system, so it’s all good. We can add new users, we can integrate new software, they coordinate so well with the other document management software that we have.”
[Kim Sinclair, Enable] “Outsourcing your IT isn’t like changing your print or stationery supplier. It’s an important decision that needs proper consideration and attention. The process can take a little time, but we have to make sure that it’s a good fit. That’s why I like to personally meet with anyone considering us. I encourage folk to have a chat with Enable.”
